**Job summary**:
If you have experience in digital forensic examinations and would like the exciting opportunity to transfer your skills into an operational, scene based role this could be the perfect role for you.

**Job description**:
At scene, a Digital Forensics Officer is required to conduct forensic acquisition, triage and examinations in-line with relevant legislation and accreditation standards. This will frequently include: examination of live devices including RAM capture and triage, forensic acquisition of data from a range of digital devices, and cloud storage acquisition.

A range of digital skills and experience will be considered for this role as training and development opportunities will be offered to assist in transferring any laboratory experience into a scene environment. Training will be provided from a mix of commercial training courses, online learning and continual in-house training and mentoring.

**Responsibilities**:

- Attend crime scenes and witness premises alike, working dynamically, to secure and preserve sources of digital evidence.
- Provide advice to investigating officers in relation to digital media to obtain best evidence, supporting the overarching forensic and operational strategy.
- Acquire, triage and analyse digital media including, but not limited to, mobile devices, computers, cloud storage and routers.
- Participate in tasked operations, projects and investigations, gathering information, intelligence and evidence in order disrupt and degrade criminal capability.
- Comply to legislation and quality standards to obtain optimum intelligence and evidence.
- Active involvement in the quality management process in the furtherance of operational delivery and compliance with associated ISO quality standards.
- Completion of evidential reporting and witness statements.
- Work with a diverse range of teams and external partners to develop effective working relationships.
- Develop new, and maintain existing, digital forensic services and technical capabilities.

**Qualifications**:

- The following qualifications/skills are essential to the role and proof will be required at interview:
- Foundation to intermediate level training in Digital Forensics.
- Full UK Driving Licence
