Volunteer Front of House, Terrace Cafe

Our Terrace Cafe is a wonderful facility at our main hospice site, Deer Park, in Barnstaple. The team prepare and serve meals and snacks to our patients, their families, staff, volunteers and any visitors to the hospice, using as many freshly grown ingredients as possible from our very own kitchen garden onsite.

This is a varied role requiring you to be flexible and to be able to adapt to the needs on the day. You will be welcoming our visitors to the Cafe, ensuring they know how to place any orders for food or where & how to help themselves to hot drinks and what the day's special are. You may be operating the electronic till system and ensuring food orders are passed to the kitchen staff in a timely manner.

The Café is open seven days a week with three shifts per day.

We are currently recruiting for **Shift 3**, **2pm - 6pm** with a number of days available to choose from.

We offer a taster session so you can come and meet some of the team and get a real understanding of what we are all about. What are you waiting for? Get in touch with us today.

Full training will be given along with uniform.
