**About the role**
Together Drug and Alcohol Service is the commissioned community drug and alcohol provision for Devon. It provides a range of support, interventions and treatments for adults wanting to make positive changes to their drug and/or alcohol use, as well as supporting family members and running campaigns and events that raise awareness of addiction and celebrate recovery in the community.
- The role of Recovery Support Volunteer is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about all aspects of the service. It is a front-line role and you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of activities that may include;
- Welcoming people into the hub
- Supporting on Duty and being the first point of contact for a person reaching out and asking for support for themselves or a loved one
- Cofacilitating groups
- Making welfare calls to people we support
- As you gain experience and confidence, you may move on to offering one to one support to individuals, supporting and empowering them to identify and achieve their recovery goals

We are currently recruiting for 3x volunteers into our Barnstaple Hub for this role and ask that you can offer 4-8hours of support a week on a day that suits you.
