To ensure that Screwfix colleagues are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with Statutory legislation and, Group and Banner policies and controls. Support the timely and effective resolution of all payroll queries and requests.

Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you’ll work from our head office three days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm. **Key responsibilities**

Payroll processing, to include:

- Starters and leavers
- Amendments
- Tax Code changes
- Set-up and maintain Court Orders
- SIP & Sharesave
- Childcare Vouchers
- Loans and advances
- Pension Opt-In
- Sick Pay
- Manual calculations and adjustments

Ireland & IOM
- Rotafix maintenance
- Liaise with external payroll provider on all payroll matters and support the management of the relationship

Main contact for payroll enquiries from Trade Counters, Head Office and Contact Centre.

Manage the Payroll mailbox and phone line and respond within the agreed SLA

Reconcile and manage the flow of Auto Enrolment and Pension data to the Pension Administrator

Provide advice to managers on best practice for maintaining SAP Time

Keep up to date with relevant Payroll legislation and best practice

**Required skills & experience**

Experience in Payroll Services, including understanding of statutory payments - including Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity & Paternity, PAYE and National Insurance

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business and with third parties, including HMRC

Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum

Knowledge of SAP HR would be an advantage

Ability to develop solutions to problems and identify process improvement opportunities
