As a Payroll Administrator, you'll be part of a team that's dedicated to delivering exceptional service and support to our colleagues.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Payroll Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll, including starters, leavers, amendments, and tax code changes
- Maintaining Court Orders, SIP & Sharesave, Childcare Vouchers, Loans and advances, Pension Opt-In, and Sick Pay
- Liaising with external payroll providers and supporting the management of the relationship
- Managing the Payroll shared mailbox and responding to queries within agreed SLAs
- Reconciling and managing Auto Enrolment and Pension data with the Pension Administrator
- Providing advice to managers on best practice for maintaining SAP Time
- Supporting business projects and initiatives as required, providing subject matter expertise
- Staying up-to-date with relevant Payroll legislation and best practice
- Ensuring all standard operating procedures are complete and updated annually
- Ensuring compliance with Group Financial Reporting Manual and Screwfix internal controls
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience in Payroll Services, including understanding of statutory payments
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business and with third parties
- Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum
- Knowledge of SAP HR would be an advantage
- Ability to develop solutions to problems and identify process improvement opportunities
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of colleague pay
