Due to business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a experienced HR professional to join our growing organisation. This is a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced employee relations focused role and take responsibility for HR matters to ensure a first-class service is delivered to our managers & wider business.

No day is the same, you will cover all HR functions, particularly employee relations. You will have autonomy within this role, a great deal of independence & self-management as we support managers & employees of 250+.

Ideally, you will have strong understanding of employment law, have demonstrable experience in working as a ER Advisor managing a high-volume complex range of HR casework in a multi-site, diverse organisation..

The ER Advisor role will suit someone who is a good communicator, agile in approach, able to translate business issues into proactive solutions whilst guiding, supporting, & educating managers through formal business processes. You will need to be methodical, organised & have a strong ability to prioritise.

**Main duties of the job**:

- You will be advising, coaching and mentoring the managers on all HR practice, policies and procedures
- You will support or lead with investigations, disciplinary & grievance processes and help manage, long term and short term absences and flexible working requests
- Work with the HR Manager to resolve complex cases that may arise
- Undertake regular file audits to ensure employee files meet our legal requirements
- Support new starters with a best-in-class induction and onboarding journey
- Support with all maternity, paternity and adoption cases
- Support and lead on key HR projects

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
**Your responsibilities**:

- Provide timely advice and support to line managers on medium-high risk/complexity people ER issues such as: disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, medium to long term absence (up to and including capability dismissals), performance management
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all actions and documentation relating to cases being managed through to conclusion
- Establish strong working relationships with other teams in the HR Team, as well as senior managers to develop an understanding of the business priorities
- Coach line managers on our Policies and Guidelines
- Work collaboratively with recruitment and HR teams
- Work proactively with HR Mgr, and other teams in the HR Department to agree consistent processes and provide the business with seamless HR support and advice from initial query through to conclusion
- Work collaboratively with HR team to ensure business strategy/projects and objectives are achieved

**Your key attribute**:

- Proven experience within an Employee Relations role in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of managing medium-high risk ER cases to conclusion
- Strong communication and listening skills, being comfortable in coaching, advising and influencing managers dealing with ER issues
- Ability to assess risks and make fair decisions that meet the needs of the business
- Strong team player who is confident and self-motivated
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to quickly develop a rapport and strong working relationships remotely, across all levels, within the wider HR team and business teams.
- Strong organisational skills able to plan, prioritise and work under pressure with good attention to detail
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
