Job Description: Pastoral Support Officer
The Pastoral Support Officer plays a vital role in providing comprehensive pastoral care and support to students. Key responsibilities include:
- Student Support: Providing individual and group support to students facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
- Behaviour Management: Implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting positive behaviour throughout the school.
- Safeguarding: Ensuring the safety and welfare of students by staying updated on safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to coordinate support plans for students.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student interventions and progress.
- Student Engagement: Organising and delivering pastoral programs and initiatives to enhance student engagement and social-emotional development.
- Transition Support: Assisting students during periods of transition.
