Walberton Nursery are seeking a Full Time Administrator to join the team with ideally an immediate start. The Administrator role is critical to the smooth running of support functions at Walberton Nursery. The role provides administrational support to operational and office-based staff across two sites, as well as providing reception support.

**Outline of Job**:

- Supporting Managers as part of the Disciplinary process, assisting in HR processes, such as arranging of interviews; generating documentation such as employment contracts, offer letters etc.
- Preparing monthly wages for Office Manager and fielding basic pay queries and maintaining integrity of HR related documents and databases
- Conducting administrative staff inductions along with all associated paperwork and checks and maintaining integrity of HR related documents and databases
- Checking Life Assurance eligibility, issuing letters and keeping accurate records
- Using horticultural production software (e.g. Passfield) to help keep production plans on track and ensure integrity of data
- Collating and providing accurate daily records of staff availability and working hours, operating and integrity checking of timeclock daily, including absence and lateness logging
- Administering petty cash, monthly reconciliation, and banking
- Stock taking, ordering, and keeping accurate records, e.g. janitorial, stationary, PPE, clothing supplies

**Other duties, to include but not limited to**:

- Lead First Aider with responsibility for arranging first aid rota, stock checks and ordering supplies
- Carrying out annual reviews, including hygiene training, driver checks, contractor information updates
- Maintaining the integrity of the purchasing process, from purchase order through to invoice, working with Accountant to ensure prompt payment
- First port of call for invoicing and accounting queries
- Carrying out any other work as directed by a member of the Management Team

- Highly literate, numerate, accurate, logical, and methodical
- Excellent computer skills, with particular focus on Microsoft Excel and other Office programmes, with the ability to quickly learn and pick up new systems
- Motivated and honest with ability to question own work to search out answers

This is a full-time position, average 41 hours per week varied in line with nursery activity although additional hours may be required at times.

**March to July 44 hours per week**:

- Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 17:15
- Friday 07:30 - 16:15

**August to February 39 hours per week**:

- Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45
- Friday 08:00 - 15:45

Salary from £27,000 to £30,000 per year depending on skills and experience; 31 days annual leave per year pro rata inc. Bank Holidays.
