Overview:
**Can you demonstrate strong planning and organisation skills, while prioritising workloads to meet deadlines?**

The focus of this role is to lead and support the organisation on a strategic level in contingency and business continuity planning and delivery; designing and delivering effective recovery strategies and bespoke improvement reviews.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and implementation of contingency and business continuity planning, design and deliver effective recovery strategies and liaise with colleagues to ensure consistency with local recovery plans and in particular the IT Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Ensure business impact analysis and business continuity plans are regularly reviewed and updated by business owners. This will include incident response reviews and emergency planning.
- Analyse and evaluate management reports and business outputs to determine their relevance for business continuity purposes, making recommendations to leadership and governance on options to build organisational resilience. Implement corporate initiatives as directed and work with business owners to help improve plans and strategies for the recovery of systems and services.
- Develop business requirements and support systems, tools and processes to help administer contingency planning and business continuity.
- Plan and facilitate exercises of business continuity plans, including working with organisational development colleagues to deliver business continuity awareness and training to staff.
- Provide analysis and updates on contingency and business continuity delivery to NRS governance as required.
- Commission and develop terms of reference and deliver bespoke corporate policy or improvement reviews, as part of continuous improvement targeting business exercises commissioned by the organisational leadership or governance.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on contingency, business continuity management, preparedness, business improvement and incident response, representing NRS at networks and fora as required.

Essential Criteria & Qualifications:
1. Experience in business continuity planning or delivery in public sector context.

2. Track record of delivering projects or work to achieve performance improvements that feed into strategic objectives of the organisation.

3. Proven ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a common goal.

4. Proven ability to present and clearly communicate complex information to colleagues at all levels.
