In this prominent role, you'll lead informed discussion on effective technology risk management and decision-making capabilityWe'll look to you to anticipate and assess the potential impacts of risk across our Financial Crime Technology and Wealth Chief Digital & Information Office (CDIO) business areasThis is a great opportunity to develop a wide network and strong relationships across the bank, as you'll be joining a collaborative and supportive work environmentThis role is available for a period of 10 monthsWhat you'll do As a Technology Lead Business Control Partner, you'll manage the risk framework execution and apply effective risk management within our risk appetite for the Financial Crime Technology and Wealth CDIO business area as a technology risk and control expert. You'll create a culture of continuous improvement, increasing efficiency and productivity through great people leadership, coaching, engagement, and development of skills. In addition, you'll be leading and managing a team of technology business control partners, whilst championing their potential and creating a culture of continuous improvement, increasing efficiency and productivity. Your role will also involve: Providing an aggregated view of the control environment for Financial Crime Technology and Wealth CDIOSupporting corporate governance and risk committees, formulating and articulating risk profile using the operational risk framework and material risk measuresSupporting the business in interactions with second and third lines of defence, to drive a shared view across the three lines of defenceMaking sure that impacts of strategic initiatives on the operational risk profile are evaluated, managed, and mitigatedSupporting and regularly engaging with relevant stakeholdersProviding oversight and supporting the risk committees and relevant forumsThe skills you'll need To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a highly skilled leader with experience in Technology risk, and controls and financial crime. You'll have the ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships as your ability to develop stakeholder relationships will be as important as your risk management skills. You'll also have the ability to oversee risk committees, and formulate and articulate controls and residual risk using the operational risk framework and material risk measures. We'll also look to you to bring: Significant experience within a technology risk or controls role and a strong understanding of IT general controls and technology control frameworks such as COBITLeadership skills, and the ability to apply risk and control management in an operational and strategic contextExperience in managing teams, coaching and developmentDemonstrable ability to deliver high quality outcomes, in a fast-paced environmentComprehensive experience in risk management, risk committees and controls frameworksThe ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
