Description

Skills for Security, the leading provider of apprenticeships to the Fire and Security sector, OFSTED grade good provider and Apprenticeship Provider of the Year in the Manufacturing and Engineering category of the Annual Apprenticeship Awards 2023, are looking to recruit a knowledgeable and committed Onboarding Executive to support our award winning delivery.

You should be energetic, professional, remain calm under pressure and be able to adapt to and support change. An eagerness to learn ability and confidence to use your own initiative in addition to being able to work well with others will underpin a positive approach to your work.

Key aspects of the role
- Manage the onboarding of new apprentices onto their chosen apprenticeship programme. Ensuring all documentation is collected from the apprentice and their employer and is in place ahead of the apprenticeship start date. This include:

- Collection of personal information from apprentice such as address, NI, ID etc.
- Ensuring completion of Initial Assessments, Learning Style Questionnaires and Skill Scan’s prior to the apprenticeship start date.
- Ensuring necessary paperwork is completed and in place from employers prior to an apprenticeship beginning.
- Arranging calls between Apprentice, Line Manager and Tutors to discuss suitability for apprenticeship and to sign individuals up to their chosen apprenticeship.
- Data entry to feed all apprentice information accurately onto necessary systems.
- Using Government websites such as DAS and LRS to assist with reservation of funding or to check prior qualifications of apprentices.
- Assisting employers to ensure that they reserve funding on time and helping with any issues that may arise.
- Working with other teams to assist with Apprenticeship Transfers (from one employer to another).
- Working closely with the Data and Compliance Team to ensure all apprentice information is in line with funding rules and is compliant.

**Other tasks may include**:

- Attending events/shows where necessary to speak with employers or apprentices.
- Attending meetings with the wider team to discuss progress and process.
- Attending in-person meetings with employers to discuss bespoke onboarding processes for larger case-loads of apprentices.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to be adaptable and solve problems
- A strong communicator
- Experience of working with apprenticeships and/or other regulated/funded learning is desirable but not essential
- Experience of using MS Word, MS Excel,
- Familiarisation with Microsoft Teams
- Experience of using a Learner Management System (LMS) desirable but not essential
