The opportunity has arisen for a Senior Family Support worker to join our team working with our residents to support their

**Responsibilities**:

- To supervise the daily shift team on the floor and ensure all appointments/ contacts
and groups are attended.
- Together with Care Manager / New Spring Social Worker to formulate and review placement plans, ensuring objectives are met
- To work with individual families focusing specifically on the promotion of parenting skills where there are safeguarding and other concerns and agree joint work plans to achieve positive change and development of skills.

To be responsible for their case file, update records, ensuring placement plan is followed within timescales.
- To prepare, plan and facilitate the teaching plans. To evaluate weekly to ensure objectives are met.
- To promote the understanding and importance of key parenting skills and appropriate behaviours to help parents reach their full potential.
- Ensure all monitoring and observations of parental interaction with their children are recorded accurately
- Inform Care Manager and /or Social Worker of any issues arising with any of the residents.
- To attend appointments with Residents and Supervise contacts as requested, ensuring all interactions are recorded and shared with New Springs Social Worker.
- Ensure any actions from meetings/contacts are completed.
- To provide professional focused advice to families referring onto other agencies as required as part of a support plan.
- To undertake direct work with families in the residential family centre, in their
homes and the community which safeguards and promotes the positive
development of their children and young people using a solution focused approach.
- To prepare, plan and facilitate sessions for families.
- To co-facilitate parenting programmes

To mentor staff on Duty, supporting the continuing development of skills appropriate to perform their role
- To carry out 1:1 supervision with identified staff. Reporting any issues to the Care Manager
- To attend all training as directed by the company, either direct or online.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety daily, weekly and monthly checks are completed and report any issues to management
- To work as part of a team and on a rota basis, to include evenings, weekends.
- All staff are responsible for the general Health and Safety of the house and any activities carried out. Any problems noted must be reported to Management.
- To be flexible to the needs of the service as advice,policies and procedures are updated

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 37 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift

Work Location: In person
