New Spring Family Care is a growing company with Family Residential Centres in Blackpool and Preston. The company works with Vulnerable families and children, assessing their parenting skills for Local Authorities and providing education, knowledge, and life skills for parents to safely parent their children.

**A level 3 qualification in one of the following is essential**

Child and Young Peoples Workforce, Family Support and Wellbeing, Childcare or Early Years.

An car owner / driver is desirable.

To work as part of a team and on a rota basis, to include evenings and weekends

**Responsibilities**:

- To co-ordinate the daily shift team, ensure all appointments/ contacts are attended and along with the Care Manager supervise a staff team on the floor to ensure all residents needs are being met.
- To work with individual families focusing specifically on the promotion of parenting skills where there are safeguarding and other concerns and agree joint work plans to achieve positive change and development of skills.
- To ensure Medicines are being given appropriately and recorded as per New Spring Medicines Policy.
- To promote the understanding and importance of key parenting skills and appropriate behaviours to help parents reach their full potential.
- Ensure all monitoring and observations of parental interaction with their children are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Inform Care Manager and /or Social Worker of any issues arising with any of the residents.
- To act as a key worker for a named family, to be responsible for their case file, update records, ensuring placement plan is followed within timescales.
- To work with the Care Manager / New Spring Social Worker to formulate and review placement plans, ensuring objectives are met.
- To prepare, plan and facilitate the teaching plans. To evaluate weekly to ensure objectives are met.
- To attend appointments with Residents and Supervise contacts, ensuring all interactions are recorded, completed and shared with New Springs Social Worker.
- To provide professional focused advice to families referring onto other agencies as required as part of a support plan.
- To undertake direct work with families in the residential family centre, in their homes and the community which safeguards and promotes the positive development of their children and young people using a solution focused approach.
- To prepare, plan and facilitate sessions for families.
- To co-facilitate parenting programmes
- To carry out 1:1 supervision with identified staff. Reporting any issues to the Care Manager
- To mentor staff on Duty, supporting the continuing development of skills appropriate to perform their role.
- To ensure all Health and Safety Checks are completed as per New Spring Policies.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety daily, weekly and monthly checks are completed and report any issues to management
- All staff are responsible for the general Health and Safety of the house and any activities carried out. Any problems noted must be reported to Management.
- To attend all training as directed by the company, either direct or online.
- To be flexible to the needs of the service as advice policies and procedures are updated

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
