**Job overview**:
**Main duties of the job**:

- Assist the development of internal and external reports and to assist in the provision of effective information support to internal and external users
- Produce internal reports which will be used to help improve services within the Trust
- Collate and validate information to complete external reports - which are submitted to the Department of Health for measurement of Trust performance
- Analyse and validate performance trends in the statutory returns and communicate them to the relevant people. This will involve liaising with a wide range of staff including service managers, senior executives, and support staff both internal and external to the Trust
- Be involved in projects to improve information reporting within the department
- Will gain experience of using a variety of IT packages including Microsoft Office, Business Objects, SQL, and specialist NHS systems
- Support work around the monitoring of existing hospital performance targets.
- Analyse data, identifying clear trends in performance and comparing this to other hospitals both locally and nationally using performance improvement software.
