**Summary**

Working closely with the HS&E Manager, the **Graduate Environmental Technical Advisor** will play a pro-active role in the support and development of the Environmental Management System utilised by Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe Ltd. operations.

The individual will also work to support business assurance and improve the internal audit capability.

**Job responsibilities**

Some key responsibilities of this role include;
- Supporting the HS&E Manager in the maintenance and development of the company’s Environment and Energy management system;
- Help promote the QHSE function/ethos
- Support the HS&E Manager to ensure that incidents and observations are fully investigated, and preventative and corrective actions are identified.
- Assist in the development of Environmental Alerts for briefing to the wider business;
- Maintain **Environmental** and **Energy** records and statistics and work with key stakeholders to assist them in managing key data and support the reduction of the company’s carbon footprint;
- Work with our other front offices across (EMEA) to establish ways to improve green office and travel initiatives;
- Support the identification and achievement of QHSE related initiatives/objectives, such as Kaizen and other areas of Continuous Improvement;
- Support relevant departments with the development and implementation of emission and waste reduction strategies;
- Work with Procurement to establish indirect and direct emissions from suppliers.
- Support inspections and audits, as required, at both MPW-EUK facilities and customer sites.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of relevant current and emerging legislation;
- Ensure appropriate documentation and records are maintained up to date.

**Who we are looking for**

You will ideally be a graduate of Environmental Management with an interest in Health and Safety Management and Engineering.
- Membership of **IEMA/IOSH** or equivalent (and actively undertaking CPD and working towards higher level membership) advantage.
- Effective communicator with all levels of employees.
