**The Role**

To ensure that the Master Data for Helix Materials is kept up to date for the Planning, Procurement and Issue of parts on behalf of the Materials Department for the use in Manufacturing including the following: Stock Items, Bill of Materials, Routings & Operations. This list is by no means exhaustive.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Interpreting Engineering Bills of Materials (BoMs) into documents suitable for Materials Planning, Procurement & Manufacturing.
- Proactive feedback to the Business regarding changes needed for the processing requirements of the BoM release.
- Ensuring that all parts contained in the BoM are correctly set up and structured in Helix ERP software (currently Sage 200).
- Follow the Process Documentation for the processing of Helix Materials Master Data.
- Suggest edits to the Process Documentation for the purpose of Continuous Improvement.
- Liaise with the relevant project business partners to ensure that the Parts Master Data does reflect accurately, what is required and are structured correctly prior to demand being loaded into ERP system and MRP being run or refreshed.
- Analyse created BOMs to ensure that all required components and processes exist in Sage 200 Manufacturing and that the relevant part master file is accurately completed for all key parameters.
- Receive Engineering Change Orders (Design Releases) and interpret relevant data to update BOMs with respect to added items, deleted items, quantity changes, corrections and effective dates.
- Review Master Data en-masse for the purpose of Data Cleanse activities utilising SQL Data connections.
- Any other tasks that are reasonably assigned to you by your line manager, including development activities, which are within your capability and grade.

**Required Education and Industry Experience**:

- A Level/HND or higher qualification in a STEM discipline.
- Understanding of Bill of Material structure for manufacturing BoM’s up to x5 levels of parent/child relationships with the capacity to work with BoM’s in excess of x25 levels.
- Able to work to tight timescales with changing priorities.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a calm and flexible manner.
- Experience of SAGE 200 Manufacturing or similar ERP / MRP operating systems.
- Experience of working in a precision Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Full Clean UK Driving License.

**Desirable Education, Training and Qualifications**:

- Relevant Engineering Degree.
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of, or aptitude for various Bill of Materials Structures, in particular Indented BOMs and Flat BOMs.
- Be able to recognise components using part numbering, drawings and descriptions.
- Have a high awareness of the quality requirements of the business and be able to act accordingly.
- Experience of SQL Database and SQL Tables for review of Master Data cleanse activities.
- Experience of communicating to internal and external stakeholders.
