We're looking for an Outdoor Facilities Supervisor to join our Purbeck team at Studland Bay, to help deliver exemplary site presentation, maintenance and an all-round excellent visitor experience.

This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year

What it's like to work here The Studland Peninsula is one of the most biodiverse areas in the UK and is home to some of its rarest species, including all 6 British reptiles. The site’s wildlife rich habitats and stunning sandy beaches draw in over 1.5 million visitors each year, byland and by sea. It is the year-round mission of our Outdoor Facilities team to improve and maintain this thriving site and its natural habitats for the benefit of both visitors and wildlife.

What you'll be doing Working year-round in a unique location like Studland Bay requires commitment and an energetic approach to tackling a wide variety of practical tasks and responsibilities. Working with the Outdoors Facilities Manager, you will provide day-to-day servicingfor the beaches and car parks, while supervising a team of staff and volunteers.

You'll work within the appropriate National Trust procedures and conservation guidelines to support the team to meet its objectives of excellent facility maintenance and compliance.

This will include leading on practical tasks to help deliver our site management plan, which could vary from maintaining site presentation, to planning and constructing infrastructure, conducting invasive species removal and vegetation clearance, or patrollingthe site to ensure visitor safety and enjoyment. The ability to build a good rapport with members of the public is imperative when interacting with visitors around the site, especially on topics of potential conflict such as BBQs, dogs and litter.

The working week for this role will be Tuesdays to Saturdays.

Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you if you have:

- A full driving licence, and happy to drive our vehicle on site
- Practical experience of maintaining infrastructure, cleanliness and habitats at a high-volume visitor site
- Experience with staff and/or volunteer supervision
- Use of hand tools and competency with machinery and equipment such as Brushcutters and ATVs
