We're looking for a Facilities Co-ordinator with the skills to keep the Isle of Purbeck in tiptop condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit and love the place.

Preferably with a trade background, you will be responsible for all manner of general maintenance tasks ranging from fixing doors and locks to making sure the toilets are running smoothly. There is a wide variety of tasks to keep you busy. You will work as part of a small team of staff and volunteers to ensure that vital planned and reactive work is carried out with mínimal disruption to the visitor business. Being able to manage your own workload, you will be able to prioritise your work and be proactive in carrying out preventative maintenance. All of this, delivered with excellent customer service.

All work must be carried out in line with relevant H&S legislation and so a keen focus on working safely is key to successful delivery of your day-to-day work.

What it's like to work here:A 1000 year old royal castle stands at the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck. The area, famed for its beaches, castle and countryside, is home to some of the rarest species in the UK, including British reptiles. To become part of our friendly team, you will need a love of historic buildings and Building conservation. What you'll be doing:As the Facilities Co-ordinator, you’ll be making sure that the Isle of Purbeck operates as it should, by running an efficient, effective and flexible facilities service. You’ll help the property team to meet their goals by keeping standards high and delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll be helping with maintenance and repairs (reactive, as well as planned and preventative), caretaking, the presentation of public areas and visitor facilities (including car parks and grounds), making sure that the visitor business has what it needs to succeed and to deliver all of this with mínimal disruption to the day-to-day operations.
