**Job description**:
This is a senior role within the PRI events team. The postholder will be responsible for designing, and overseeing the development of, the programme for our annual flagship conference, PRI in Person, and other PRI events as required. Key focuses for the role will include translating content from the PRI, signatories and other stakeholders into compelling conference sessions, and contributing to the development of the overall events calendar and strategy. The role would suit an experienced conference producer with the ability to adapt their skills to a membership organisation and balance the needs of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

This role will report to the Director of Events.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with signatories, other external stakeholders and internal colleagues to gain an understanding of audience interests, key agenda themes and target speakers for each event
- Work cross functionally to ensure that the content framework is aligned with strategic objectives, scaled for growth, and delivered globally with exceptional standards, assessing risk and driving a process of continuous improvement.
- Develop a vision for the programme of each event and communicate it internally, ensuring buy in from relevant colleagues
- Recruit an advisory committee of PRI signatories to oversee development of the PRI’s flagship conference programme; manage relationships with these individuals and chair committee meetings as required
- Set principles and goals for the programme of each event and ensure it stays true to these, often during lengthy and complex production cycles
- Work with colleagues to develop clear plans for each conference session
- Take overall responsibility for populating each event with speakers, either through direct outreach or by working with colleagues and external stakeholders, ensuring that programmes are completed in a timely manner
- Champion new and innovative session formats to ensure events stay relevant and audiences remain engaged; support colleagues in delivering innovative events
- Maintain effective, transparent processes for identifying, inviting and confirming speakers
- Take responsibility for speaker-related admin, such as collecting and proof-reading biographies, collating slides, etc.
- Work closely with the sponsorship and event operations teams to ensure that event programmes can be delivered effectively and that targets are met
- Manage programme delivery of major events onsite, acting as a first point of contact for both speakers and AV crews
- Collect feedback from post-event surveys and conduct delegate interviews to identify new ideas and areas for improvement
- Read trade press, attend external events and otherwise keep abreast of trends in the responsible investment and events industries
- Work closely with Director of Events to develop a clear strategic vision for each PRI conference/event and for the PRI’s events programme as a whole.
- Support the Director of Events in delivering against the team’s business plan and budget
- Provide regular reporting to the Director of Events, Sr Director Marketing & Customer Experience, Chief Operating Officer and Executive team as and when required

**Person specification**:

- Experience of producing medium-large scale conferences with complex agendas and multiple very senior speakers
- Excellent networking, relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience of building strong and productive relationships both internally and externally
- Strong research skills, ability to identify key issues and audience needs
- Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
- A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others & committed to fostering an inclusive environment
- Ability to work independently, setting own goals and timelines, prioritising a busy workload to meet fixed deadlines
- Effective team worker, taking an interest in other areas of events team’s work (logistics, sponsorship, etc.)
