UKSBS is on a journey to be the leading UK public sector business service provider, efficiently and securely managing multiple technology platforms and delivering a great end-user experience, underpinned by simple processes and cutting-edge business IT. Our growing client roster includes three government Departments and UK Research & Innovation.

As Head of HR Operations, you will play a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. You will lead a team of over one hundred, responsible for delivering exceptional HR services to our public sector clients. You will work closely with senior client colleagues to foster strong partnerships that deliver ever improving service to their employees.

Most of the team are based in Swindon; however, this is a hybrid role, with some home working that can be based at any of our offices in Swindon, Newport, and Billingham.

To do this role well you will need:

- Extensive experience of leading and managing a HR Operations service which spans the employee lifecycle.
- Proven experience in budgeting and planning for a department, with a keen understanding of financial management principles.
- Ability to provide expert advice and guidance to influence the strategic direction of the business.
- Experience of coordinating and setting strategic plans with areas outside your service.
- Experienced in making critical decisions that significantly impact service effectiveness.
- Demonstrable experience of transformation programmes, with expertise in delivering and implementing change and process improvements
- Experience of driving continuous positive change, influencing enhanced performance to increase customer satisfaction levels, and adding value to service provision.
- Strategically and commercially minded, able to identify new opportunities and align them with the organisations business plan.

In return for your skills and experience, we can offer you flexible and remote working options for a 37hr week (full time) with start and finish times between 8am - 6pm, or part time hours to suit. Our team usually work from home and come into the office once or twice a week, but we are flexible on this too.
