The Services, Markets and Client (SM&C) Regulatory Remediation Execution Lead provides leadership for the business in the execution of initiatives and supporting remediation activities. This role provides oversight over a portfolio of multiple regulatory driven initiatives that requires partnership with Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance and other key stakeholders to continuously improve delivery quality and measure the quantifiable impact and benefits of delivery. This role requires management of a team, and is responsible for leading delivery teams of project managers to deliver regulatory initiatives in the portfolio. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. The team is an integral component of Citi’s delivery for regulatory programs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Drives and oversees the delivery of regulatory response remediation and execution efforts across the SM&C businesses
- Partners with workstream leads and Operations, Finance, Risk and Compliance counterparts to determine and maintain the portfolio work efforts that will enable SM&C to meet its commitments to global and regional regulators
- Leading SM&C activities in data centric regulatory Exams that involve SM&C (e.g. Regulatory Reporting Exams)
- Writing responses to data centric regulatory responses and inquiries
- Driving execution of SM&C remediation efforts for data centric regulatory commitments
- Writing content on the SM&C data-centric regulatory activities above for compilation and input into senior level reporting
- Ensures SM&C is actively participating in regulatory response and remediation efforts as part of COO engagement, and also prepares updates for regulatory remediation initiatives
- Engages and provides support in data governance reviews, exams, and inquiries with Citi 2nd & 3rd LoDs and regulators
- Partners with Sponsors and Project Managers for regulatory programs to continuously seek ways to ensure regulatory programs deliver against business objectives in a timely manner
- Presents governance and reporting updates to senior leadership and escalates issues and risks in a timely manner to expedite resolution
- Works with Business, Operations and Risk, Finance and Compliance to ensure the integrity of how SM&C program updates are included in Enterprise level governance and reporting
- Proactively monitors SM&C performance against Program key performance indicators to ensure complete and timely delivery of commitments
- Creates and manages the budget for the SM&C regulatory programs and partners closely with senior management and sponsors to ensure proper funding
- This role effectively leads change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity and leverages experience in the processes and principles of change management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes

Experience and skillsets within the following major areas are expected of the SM&C Regulatory Remediation Lead:
**Regulatory Program Management**:
Running large regulatory change management programs and a deep understanding of program and project planning, resource management, financial management and delivery against business objectives. Familiarity with systems development lifecycle and required testing for systems integration projects.

Insight into key performance metrics to measure both delivery progress and business benefit realization.

**People Management**:
Leading a global team consisting of program managers and supporting project managers, business, and data analysts.

**Communications Management**:
Continual interaction is required with peers and senior leadership in SM&C businesses, Operations and Technology teams as well as Finance, Risk, the Chief Data Office, Compliance, and Internal Audit on a global level. Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.

**Financial Services and Regulatory Background Knowledge**:
Previous experience in banking and finance, and knowledge of Regulatory Reporting.

Knowledge of key regulatory entities e.g., FRB, OCC and PRA and any other relevant regulatory bodies will be an advantage.

**Qualifications**:

- Professional work experience, with a significant component of this within financial services
- Program and Project management experience
- Experience working on Regulatory Programs is required
- Experience running a Regulatory PMO is preferred
- Operations & Technology or In-Business Risk & Controls experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of Capital Markets and Banking products

**Education**:

- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
