Head of Compliance and MLRO - City of London Job type: Full-time / 12-month fixed-term contract followed by a permanent role (Full time on-site)
Compliance is a pivotal function that ensures products and processes meet regulatory requirements and drive positive customer outcomes. Our client, a leading organisation in the financial sector, is currently seeking a dynamic Head of Compliance and MLRO to join their team at their London branch. With a focus on fostering compliance and mitigating financial crime risks, this role promises an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact within the organisation.
Implementing and maintaining effective compliance policies and procedures, specifically for countering financial crime risk.
Overseeing the compliance monitoring programme, assessing its adequacy, and taking remedial actions.
Actively engaging with regulatory bodies and managing the organisation's relationship.
Drafting and submitting regulatory reports.
Maintaining efficient communication channels with key internal stakeholders to exchange best practices, report risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Managing and supporting a team of compliance and financial crime professionals.
Extensive experience in financial services compliance and AML within commercial banking or MiFID investment firms.
In-depth knowledge of UK financial services regulatory requirements and financial products.
Proven track record in implementing and maintaining comprehensive policies and procedures within financial services firms.
Fluent in English, with knowledge of Korean as an advantage.
