**About this role**:
Due to business growth Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Senior Valuation Control Consultant.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement independent price verification of financial instruments, held by Wells Fargo International, to ensure reasonable valuation.
- Analyze price verification results in the context of risk, P&L and trading activity to produce holistic reporting and commentary on business performance.
- Facilitate business expansion and new product development by establishing price verification infrastructure and processes as a prerequisite to new product launch.
- Collaborate with modeling and quant teams to ensure and report model validation as well as analyze and quantify model limitations and uncertainties.
- Implement Global Aged Inventory Policy for Wells Fargo International.
- Produce monthly Price Verification and Aged Inventory reports.
- Collaborate with Market Risk teams in oversight of the business such that valuation control and risk management related policies are administered holistically.
- Ensure implementation of the appropriate valuation adjustment policies and procedures to the financial instruments held by Wells Fargo International.
- Ensure appropriate Fair Value Hierarch leveling of Trading Book financial instruments.
- Assist the International Head of Product Control and other team members on ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
- Proactively drive IPV production re-engineering and controls enhancements.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with the business, market risk, model risk, middle office, and collateral operations to resolve valuation related issues.

**Requirements**:

- University degree (or equivalent) and professionally qualification with extensive and detailed post qualification experience.
- Experience in Risk Analytics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in building out valuation control framework to support a growing business including supporting new products and growing existing businesses.
- Progressive record of accomplishment, and achievement within finance and/or risk analytics roles.
- Strong technical skills including detailed product knowledge, finance, and solid understanding of valuation concepts.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and briefings to management and business.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office, including Excel and Access.
- Knowledge of automated analytics tools, such as Alteryx/Tableau/Power BI, would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of FX, interest rate, and inflation derivatives would be a plus.
- Must be able to work independently whilst providing leadership and positive collaboration within a fast paced, cross-functional team environment.

- Creative and strategic thinking skills combined with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to work under pressure and maintain high energy levels.
- **Job Expectations**:
Wells Fargo operates a Hybrid working model combining office and home working. The requirement is a minimum of 3 days in the office.
