**The post holder is expected to participate in**: A frequent requirement for light physical effort, occasionally moderate. Moving and handling medical equipment. Being responsible for coordinating staff and day to day activities within the equipment library. Ensuring that any departmental databases or information systems are updated in line with departmental procedures.

Frequently carrying out a range of office duties with a requirement for sitting or standing for extended periods. Providing general non-clinical advice, information and guidance to service users. Occasionally travelling between Acute and Community locations. Attending other UHNM sites as requested for the start of their shift.

Commenting on proposed changes to departmental policies, procedures. Proposing changes to working practice, where appropriate, in own area of work. Taking part in surveys e.g. staff attitude surveys as required.

Undertaking both general and specific training within the organisation and elsewhere. This may involve travelling and residing away from home. The post holder will occasionally be: Expected to produce reports from the equipment database. Required to maintain concentration where the work pattern is unpredictable.

Required to switch between varying duties. Indirectly exposed to emotional and distressing circumstances. Exposed to unpleasant working conditions, e.g. contaminated equipment, unpleasant smells and inclement weather
