Schools Health and Safety Advisor

Elite Safety in Education are a Health and Safety Consultancy who support schools within the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and surrounding areas.

We provide predominantly Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools with expert Health and Safety advice, guidance, and documentation to enable schools to comply with various legislation in the educational sector.

The role will consist of visiting schools and undertaking health and safety audits and safety walks. This will include inspection of fixed outdoor play equipment (training given).

Writing up audit reports and uploading on to school management portals.

Delivery of various training courses (training will be given) to schools either in person or on-line via Zoom, Teams etc.

If you are down to earth, approachable and have excellent communication skills then you will fit in perfectly with our team.

Elite Safety in Education pride themselves on not using health and safety jargon where it isn’t necessary, and we have moved away from the perceived perception of a health and safety advisor.

**Qualifications and Requirements**

You **must hold **to a NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum and have kept up to date with legislation.

It is **desirable** that you have experience in Educational Establishments but **not **essential as training will be given to the right applicant.

Excellent computer skills required in Word and basic knowledge of excel and other programmes.

You must have access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)

You will drive to schools mainly in the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Derby and surrounding areas (although on rare occasions you may have to travel further afield)

Starting pay **£29,000** for full time (plus mileage allowance **45p** per mile)

Probation period will be initially 6 months.
