School Age Immunisation Team Support Worker

Providing clinical support for the School Age Immunisation Team such as ordering stock, receiving vaccine deliveries, occasional support in sessions when required (this may involve administering nasal flu spray under the direction of the registered nurse).
HDFT is the provider for the school age immunisation team across Durham, Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York. The organisation is committed to embedding the values of kindness, integrity, teamwork and equality. Staff well-being is paramount to the organisation.
The School Age Immunisation Team are an integrated team of nurses, support workers and admin staff who are passionate about their role in improving public health outcomes in the school age population through vaccination programmes and work together to ensure that we constantly strive to improve vaccination rates.
- Liaise with other health care professionals in a calm and professional manner.
- Deal with face-face, telephone, and electronic queries, conveying messages and transferring calls as necessary.
- Provide administrative support i.e. typing, filing, photocopying, general administrative duties to the School Aged Immunisations Service.
- To report to their line Manager any accidents, injuries, complaints or untoward occurrences with complete reports and statements.
- To process medical records effectively.
- To ensure SystmOne is populated with all relevant data.
- To attend meetings convened by the Service.
- To support the vaccination inputting process and scanning of paper records where needed.
- To provide a data entry service as required.
