**Job Title**:HR/Recruitment Officer
**Hours**:24 per week (this can be flexible over 3 or 4 days)
**Location**:Home working but must be able to attend Totnes office 1 day per week and may need to visit the Learning Hubs across Devon and Cornwall as and when required.
**Salary**:£30,000 pro rata (£20,571 for 24 hours)

**Key Purpose of the role**:
Responsible for the full recruitment process for all ESE vacancies, proactively liaising with managers and creating and placing adverts to processing of new starters and onboarding.
Able to use jobs boards and social media platforms to advertise vacancies and drive recruitment.
Create a recruitment plan to support the intake of new students (taking into account the timing and volumes required).
Advising and resolving day-to day employee relations issues either directly or with the line manager
Understand the Ofsted standards required and assess them against our policies and processes.
Proactively liaising with managers and prompting them to ensure that actions are completed at each stage.
Identify any trends in exit interviews to understand the main reasons why people leave their roles.
Support with effective case management of people related issues such as disciplinaries, grievance, absence management and performance management
Supporting the HR team on employment lifecycle processes.
**Essential Criteria**:
CIPD qualified (or equivalent) or working towards a CIPD qualification
Sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practice
Good understanding of employment law with the ability to implement legal advice into practice
Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple cases/projects in a high speed fast paced environment
Demonstrable customer service skills by active listening and understands the needs of managers and colleagues
Ability to plan, prioritise and use own initiative to meet multiple deadlines
Ability to assimilate complex information and data quickly and accurately
Experience of working with highly sensitive information in a confidential manner
You must be able to build and maintain relationships and able to gain support of colleagues and managers.
Must be able to work in the Totnes (Devon) office 1 day per week and have the ability to travel to the Learning Hubs across Devon and Cornwall
