Are you ready for a new challenge?

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Therapies and Rehabilitation Medicine Clinical Business unit (CBU). The CBU includes Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Orthotics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine provided at 3 acute and 4 community hospital sites.

We are looking for a registered Allied Health Professional with substantial experience in the NHS, a proven track record in successfully leading and managing a clinical team and experience of implementing policy, service planning and development.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives, and ensuring that the Clinical Business Unit operates with the needs of patients as its highest priority.

The post-holder will lead the strategic development of the services across the CBU, working in conjunction with other AHP Leads, ensuring professional issues are managed effectively.

Lead and ensure safe standards of clinical care, to the highest quality, are delivered across the CBU; that clinical staff are suitably qualified and maintain professional registration; and the division’s clinical governance objectives are fully met.

Lead the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of Trust wide Therapies and Rehabilitation Medicine ensuring they meet national and local targets and are responsive to the needs of patients/carers and the local communities.

Support delivery of CBU budgets ensuring all financial Standing Financial Instructions are adhered to and budget control targets are met.

To participate in the business and service planning cycle including demand and capacity planning and workforce planning

Maintain professional registration and work within professional standards and guidelines and ensure own clinical skills are maintained to ensure clinical credibility
