As we grow our import function for Snowfox in the UK, we are looking for a Logistics and Import Coordinator to lead the importation of goods from a broad range of categories across food & beverages, consumables, and packaging from around the World, and to complete the successful delivery of these to our required sites. You will be responsible for document checking, liaising with forwarders, shipping lines and in doing so, will nurture relationships with key suppliers and service providers, ensuring service levels are achieved. Reporting to the Snowfox Supply Chain Manager, you will support them and the UK Head of Procurement & Supply Chain in the delivery of the Purchasing strategy across our Manufacturing, Restaurant and Retail channels in the UK and the wider Group and will be involved in shaping and achieving our sustainability plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that Import documentation is correct, and that Snowfox are compliant with legal regulations and certification for importers
- Liaising with overseas suppliers in managing lead times and shipping/delivery schedules to ensure product reaches YO consolidation points and Taiko warehouse IFOT
- Dealing with freight forwarders and clearing agents to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of our imports to their destinations
- Working with Procurement and Supply Chain functions on demand planning and providing accurate forecasts for stock requirements from key suppliers
- Managing and informing our senior team of any risks that could interrupt the supply chain
Key Requirements
Site Interface
- The go-to person for Procurement and Supply Chain functions for arranging imports and supplying updates on import journeys and ETAs
- Co-ordinate import delivery points for the group for all sites
Import Management
- Work closely with Planning/Procurement/Supply Chain functions to help with forecasting for distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and vessels on a weekly basis
- Supply clean Invoices and B/Ls to Finance team to ensure payments are made to supplier on-time following good receipt of documents
- Maintain an accurate database of imports and their status for quick reference for relevant stakeholders to access
Stock Management
- Co-ordinate shipping scheduling with suppliers to ensure continuous stock levels
- Communicate all at-risk items to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Assist NPD function in arranging samples from overseas suppliers following Procurement function’s approval
- Assist with implementing sustainability measures
Supplier relationships
- Maintain and build supplier relationships across all areas of the business
- Ensure agreed service levels and KPI’s are achieved, monitoring delivery and quantity compliance
- Ensure that we are getting the best shipping rates and minimising demurrage costs
- Liaise with suppliers on initial set-up and ETA for new items and communicate to internal teams
Cost efficiencies
- Investigate supply chain savings, through exploration of purchasing efficiencies and RTM options
- Assist Snowfox Supply Chain Manager in tender processes for shipping contracts
