**Job Title**: Finance Officer & Company Secretary.

**Salary from £27,000**.

**Hours**:34 hours per week | Monday to Thursday (09.00 - 17.00) and Friday (09.00 - 16.00).

**Location**: Hybrid (3 days from the Swindon office & 2 days from home).

**Your Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Sales ledger - Issuing sales invoices after checking.
- Purchase ledger - From receiving supplier invoices and expenses, to checking and payment.
- Banking - All banking issues including making BACS and Bill payments to suppliers with MD approval. Controlling and reconciling bank accounts. Preparing and updating cash flow for MD approval.
- Credit control - All aspects of credit control including chasing for payment of overdue invoices. Checking and monitoring debt and companies in liquidation.
- Computing - Preparation of OSCAR reports monthly.
- Accounting - Preparation of monthly management accounts and updating necessary control documents. Preparation of year end accounts for submission to financial auditors, also liaising with auditors regarding annual audit and tax issued. Preparation and monitoringof budgets and forecast with MD.
- Payroll - All aspects of monthly payroll run on SAGE including various HMRC returns.
- Government returns - Preparation, submission and payment of quarterly VAT returns, tri-annual VAT audit, annual employee return (P60 & P35), annual P11D and P11D(b) returns.
- HR - Maintain HR records.
- Secretarial duties such as:

- Organization of board meetings, minute-taking and follow up of actions resulting from meetings. Preparation and distribution of Executive Board meeting documents, including preparatory documents and minutes.
- Maintaining all registers (directors, shareholders, etc.)
- Preparing and submitting annual statements.
- Filing at Companies House any changes in registered office: changes of directors or company secretary and allotments and transfer of shares.

**Key Competencies**:

- Computer literate - particularly Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint. Training will be provided for other office tools.
- Skills to relate, develop and maintain business relationships with clients and partners.
- Accuracy, thorough with acute attention to detail, well-organised, must be able to use own initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team.
- A pro-active mindset, with a willingness to be flexible, agile & react positively to change.
- A native English speaker, with excellent level of written English. French is an advantage (however not essential).

**Experience**:
**Essential -**
- Proven achievements in an accounting position although someone who is studying accountancy would also be considered.
- An understanding of finance mechanisms.
