Transport Co-ordinator Administration Apprentice

This role will be working for Vital Pet Group who are the leading pet product wholesaler and distributor in the UK. If you know the pet trade or seek to thrive in a busy commercial environment this would be an ideal role for you as we love to grow and develop leaders in warehousing, transport and logistics who have a passion to succeed.
**What will the apprentice be doing?**
- Inputting into relevant portals to create delivery consignment labels
- Route planning and delivery allocation.
- Checking invoices for duplicates and accuracy
- Booking in deliveries to our customers with specific delivery requirements and ensuring all relevant information is passed to transport partners.
- Transport KPI’s (Data input / retrieval and reporting)
- Working closely with the warehouse operation to ensure all teams are aware of special requests / alterations.
- Finalised order QC - delivering the expectation.
- Scheduling dedicated loads for collections and deliveries.
- Building relations with supplier both current and future
- Price comparisons and reporting
- Assist with Transport partner claims and investigations.
- Raising PO’s for the transport and transport supplies.
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
- This apprenticeship is equivalent to an A-Level
- Training will take place both online and in person to meet the needs of the business and the apprentice
- If you do not already have your maths and English GCSE's then this will be achieved as part of your apprenticeship
**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**
The successful completion of this apprenticeship will lead to a full time position in the purchasing team.
