We work closely with other partners, including the NHS and the voluntary sector, and we are a core partner in the Cheshire and Merseyside Public Health Collaborative. This post complements the other consultant post, providing strategic leadership to the Public Health Team, the wider Council, and our partners. You will be a core member of the Public Health Senior Management Team.

There is also the opportunity to gain enhanced emergency planning experience as we have a significant number of industries that come under the COMAH regulations. We are a recognised Faculty of Public Health training site and have strong relationships with local universities.

The post-holder must be on the GMC/GDC Specialist Register/UK Voluntary Register for Public Health Specialists or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview.

In return we offer you experience of working in an exciting, dynamic, supportive team and organisation. We are an authority that has an excellent reputation and offers a comprehensive package of employee benefits through its Working Rewards Scheme.

In line with the Council’s flexible and mobile working policy, the post will be agile, based predominantly at home, with a secondary base at the new Council offices in Ellesmere Port with access to additional sites across the borough.
