**Part time | Based in Harryville Men’s Shed, Ballymena**

Harryville Mens Shed mission is to support the development of the burgeoning men’s sheds movement in Ireland. As a grassroots organisation, we believe strongly in the autonomy of each individual shed, as we strive for a future in which all men have the opportunity to maintain and improve their well-being on their own terms and within their own communities.

**The Role**:
To co-ordinate the Harryville Men’s Shed project and support its day to day running by way of planning and implementing relevant activities, events, meetings, and initiatives that promote the positive health and wellbeing of Men’s Shed members.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (Grade C or above) including Math & English (or the equivalent)
- 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role
- Experience of working with MS Office
- Excellent communications skills
- Full driving licence and access to a car

**Desirable Criteria**:

- 3rd Level qualification in relevant discipline eg Community Development Training qualification
- Previous work in a voluntary sector environment.
- Sensitivity to the needs including mobility needs of people with disabilities and a commitment to their equal rights.
- An understanding of and a commitment to the values of Harryville Men’s Shed
- Knowledge of societal issues affecting areas of deprivation

**Salary: £25,350 per annum (pro rata)**

**Hours of work: 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday 4hrs per day, however the successful applicant would need some flexibility as occasional Saturday work may be required.**
