Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Harm Reduction Lead to be part of our innovative and creative Change, Grow, Live - Waltham Forest team.

The role will involve leading on harm reduction delivery across the service and includes areas such as:

- Supporting the service with the Needle & Syringe Program
- Working alongside the Naloxone Champions
- Managing relations with key partners such as pharmacies within the borough
- Training staff and partners on all issues relating to harm reduction

**Responsibilities**:
The Change, Grow, Live Waltham Forest service offers substance misuse support to residents of the borough. We are looking for caring, bold, and compassionate people to join our Substance Misuse team.

You will join a talented team working within CCL, Primary Care and hostel settings and be committed to taking a positive and empowering approach to working with the people we support.

Within this exciting new opportunity, you will lead on promotion of partnership work between CGL and all pharmacies in Waltham Forest. This will include delivery of regular training, sending regular communications, coordination of materials and promotion of referrals into structured treatment.

You will train partnership agencies on areas such as:

- Effective needle exchange
- Harm minimisation interventions
- Naloxone / BBV
- Drug and alcohol training

You will carry out quality assurance checks on pharmacies and lead on other harm reduction initiatives

You will ensure that all key partners such as GP’s, hospitals, outreach settings, criminal justice settings, are trained on Naloxone interventions and actively encourage take up.
