About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Senior Activity Worker to join our team in Waltham Forest. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week.

Job Description

As a Senior Activity Worker, you will be responsible for supporting clients with mild to severe learning disabilities in community-based activities such as swimming, bowling, bike riding, parks, cinema, Boccia, and trampolining.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients to access the community in a meaningful way while meeting their physical and sensory needs.
  • Supervise staff and participate in service planning.
  • Conduct formal risk assessments for and with service users.
  • Review and update service plans as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions.
  • Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • A caring and patient nature.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £25,558 per annum, plus generous benefits including a comprehensive training program, pension scheme, and rewards and recognition for your service.
