Young Men’s Project Coordinator: The Hive
5 months ago
Company Description
Catch22 exists to help build a society where everyone has a **good people **around them, a safe** place **to live, and a **purpose **in life - we call these our '3Ps'.
We achieve this in two ways. First we improve lives on the frontline through delivery of public services. Secondly, we use our knowledge to change 'the system', to fix the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help. With the heart of a charity, and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda.
**The Hive**
The Hive is a mental health and wellbeing service designed for and created by young people. We support young people aged 16 to 24 in Camden who need support transitioning between children’s and adult mental health services. We are part of The Minding the Gap programme, a cross-cutting support service delivered by a unique partnership involving the voluntary sector and NHS trust.
The Hive represents a one stop shop model, in which we offer help and support to young people with their education, employment, sexual health, and substance misuse. Supporting young people with their personal development, we have three main holistic health and wellbeing services, which include 121 support, a drop in social hub, and employment services.
**Job Description**:
The role of **Young Men’s Project Coordinator** is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in mobilising and embedding a new service. As the single point of contact, and specialist worker, for young men, you will support clinical team leads in assessing service users, undertaking 1:1 and group work to enable young men to achieve their goals, and live independent lives.
You will also have the opportunity to represent the service at multi-agency meetings, engaging with external stakeholders and potential partners, to develop and strengthen the reputation and the impact of the service.
- **Due to a genuine occupational need, we are only able to accept male applicants for this role.**
**Main Duties and Accountabilities**
- Ensuring that appropriate governance and compliance are in place, leading high-quality delivery that meets all targets, standards, and KPI’s, and reporting to senior management in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that all data such as service user information, interventions, and dashboards, are recorded, monitored, and completed appropriately, and reports are provided on schedule.
- Proactively and continually assessing and managing caseload risks, escalating where necessary, and adapting case management frequency and methodology to reflect the individual needs and circumstances of young people.
- Supporting clinical team leads to carry out assessments with young men, and ensuring ease of access to support mechanisms and services - through setting goals, creating holistic care plans to meet their needs, and scaffolding to services where appropriate.
- Ensuring effective communication and liaison with partner agencies and local groups, to ensure effective referrals, care management, risk management, ease of transition, and ease of referral for young people.
- Managing your time and activities safely and effectively, meeting priorities and delivery requirements, and contributing to achieving the standards of care, quality, and positive outcomes that are required.
- Delivering operational process or procedure changes in response to service user feedback, audit outcomes, and formal evaluation or commissioner requests, proactively contributing to the continual development of the service.
- Engaging in group work with young people, and ensuring meaningful participation and active co-production with service users and stakeholders, through identifying new local partnerships, attending multi-agency meetings, and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Developing a differentiated service offer that incorporates diverse service user aspirations and needs, to enable service users to fulfil their potential.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a role supporting young men through mental health crisis, with knowledge of good practice in emotional wellbeing and mental health delivery, for 16 to 25 year olds.
Additional Information
**Salary**:£36,000 per annum
**Hours of work**:Full time, 37 hours per week
