An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Finance Officer at Malet Lambert. As a Finance Officer in our school, you will be responsible for the purchase order system for the whole school, ensuring that accurate records are kept, and timescales are adhered to. You will place orders either via the purchase order system or with the school credit card, keeping accurate records of orders placed. You will maintain the registration of assets onto the asset register on a regular basis and process accounts payable i.e. payment of invoices, BACS and cheque runs, journals, recording all invoices on the finance post log.

The working hours will be up to 37 hours per week Monday to Friday (timings of the day to be discussed at interview), during the school term. An additional 148 hours per year ensure you have paid time for team meetings, training and development. Your actual salary is £20,226.56 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month. **What are we are looking for?**

We are looking for individuals with:

- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Basic computer skills and experience of using Microsoft packages such as Excel at intermediate or higher
- Experience of working within a busy office environment
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Understanding of basic accountancy i.e., debits and credits
