- To coordinate the delivery of effective public relations, marketing and communications including keeping the website and social media pages up to date.
- To coordinate the production of the annual report, magazine, newsletters, brochures, leaflets, and posters.
- To coordinate the Town Council’s events promotion and marketing including StowFiesta, Stowmarket Food & Drink Festival, Civic Service, Stowmarket Town Awards, Remembrance and the Stowmarket Christmas Fayre.
- To assist the team in the preparation and delivery of a range of activities, forums, projects, events and initiatives.
- To administer the Town Council’s Community Grants programme.
- To promote activities that form part of the Town Councils Environmental Protection and Carbon Reduction Plan 2021-2030.
- To gather public feedback and provide reports which form part of a process of continuous improvement for the Town Council.
- To maintain positive relationships with local community groups, businesses, and residents.
- To be an effective ambassador of the organisation in working with multiple local stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- To assist and deputise for the Community Engagement & Events Officer.
- To undertake any other duties as may be required which is commensurate with the grade of the post.

The **Communications and Marketing Officer** will ideally have a good standard of education relevant to the requirements of the role particularly in respect of literacy and numeracy. Experience of coordinating social media accounts, contenton websites and creating communication plans. You will have experience of promoting activities, projects, services and/or events. Experience of writing articles, press releases and reports. Good IT, customer service and administration skills. Including experienceof Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher and Teams. WordPress experience would be beneficial. Ability to work positively and collaboratively with team members. Ability to develop good working relationships.
