Merchandise Administration Assistant

We are recruiting for a Merchandise Admin Assistant to join the Food Team here at Harrods.
**About the Role**
As a Merchandise Admin Assistant in Food, you will provide assistance to the Senior Merchandiser of the category to effectively deliver departmental goals and KPIs across all channels (Store, Online & Regional Sites). This role covers Harrods branded food product, Harrods Own Label food as well as Restaurants. Working closely with the Food Buying Teams, Food Product Developers, Demand Planning Team and our Restaurant Stakeholders, you will monitor top line and brand level OTB spend in season against agreed plans.
The Merchandise Admin Assistant (MAA) will play a key role in supporting the Merchandising Planning team with tasks including PO and Stock Management, OTB Planning and Trade Analysis. You will also assist in the production of pre-buy analysis to assist the Buying team with selecting product as well as the creation of seasonal and basic planning documents, such as OTB planning, option counts etc.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Approving and actioning POs (including reviewing OTB forms).
- Documenting relevant paperwork for unplanned overspends, highlighting areas of concern to all stakeholders, and ensuring tracker is up to date in all respects at all times.
- Assisting in the replenishment process.
- Producing the weekly and daily trade reports to agreed timescales ensuring a high degree of accuracy is maintained
- Delivering reports on vendor performance e.g. PO fill rate, on time deliveries and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Chasing deliveries and amend qty’s and delivery dates with approval of Merchandiser and Buying teams as required
- Resolving trouble shipments, co-ordinating with Distribution and Buying to ensure that issues are resolved promptly
**About You**
We are looking for an individual who is not only passionate about the luxury retail industry but also has a good eye for data, demonstrated through strong numerical and analytical skills. You will also be flexible and ready to adapt to changing priorities - able to perform duties effectively with minimum supervision and guidance.
You will also:
- Be PC literate, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. SAP knowledge preferable.
- Have good attention to detail is key, this is a fast-paced role and accuracy is essential.
- Possess excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task.
- Hold effective prioritisation skills and ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Be proactive and solutions based thinker
