**Operations Coordinator**

The Operations Coordinator role purpose is to provide continuity, co-ordination and expertise to ensure consistency in permit to work, work execution and work control processes ensuring they are aligned to CSL policies and procedures. The role will provide a direct link between plant day support and the Operations Supervisors to ensure work enactment requirements are clear and prioritised in line with the requirements of CSL Production Management Team.

The CSL Easington Terminal is a top tier COMAH registered asset and the job holder plays a key role in ensuring the asset maintenance can be enacted to comply with the CSL Process Safety Performance Indicators (PSPIs) by suitably coordinating work based on maintenance frequency and operational availability.

This will be achieved by working closely with the Operations Shift and Maintenance teams to ensure readiness for the work as per the agreed weekly schedule and Terminal Plant Status.

**Accountabilities**
- Responsible for the review of the weekly Terminal Plant Status document to ensure equipment status is suitably updated based on forthcoming/completed work activities.
- Liaise with Operations as a bridge to Maintenance to identify short notice, opportunistic, value adding work scopes based on upcoming plant availability.
- Custodian for the CSL Life Saving Rules through its Safe System of Work.
- Deputise for the Area Authority (AA) in periods of unforeseen absence and assume the responsibilities for that role within the CSL SSOW.
- Responsible for the walking and supporting the permit to verification (ensuring permits are progressed to comply with the 6-week gated planning process.
- Ensure that permits are at the required 14D Gate Criteria as set out the CSL Work Management Process.
- Responsible for updating the CSL CMMS (SAP) System with current permit status.
- Conduct site visits with Performing Authorities (if required) and ensure site specific hazards are identified and mitigated effectively.
- Ensure all permits are fully compliant with requirements set out in CSL procedures and that the content of the permit covers task, risks, mitigations and all other relevant considerations before permits are allowed to be issued.
- Responsible for the coordinating of Permit and Isolation audits, select permit/ICCs for auditing and appoint auditors. Review audit actions and assist in following up on potential findings.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the Performing Authorities on permits and validates quality of work and act as the dedicated PA assessor at the asset.
- Facilitate the daily PTW Authorisation meeting.
- Support Performing Authorities in identifying scopes for Pre-approved Permits and assist in the development of Pre-approved Permits where applicable.
- Carry out pre-authorisation site visits for ‘high risk’ activities at the asset.
- Drive continuous improvement of Risk Assessment and Control of work practices creating a regular review process.
- Play a key role in NRO preparation and execution.
- Carry out L1 inspections as defined by the Easington L1 Assurance Plan.
- ER Team member for the asset and to attain the competencies required through SIC Awareness Training.

**Experience**
- Experience to be a minimum of 5 years and should include operation of high-pressure process plant, rotating equipment - operation and maintenance.
- Practical experience in the use of IT systems.
- Minimum of Higher National Certificate in Process or an Engineering discipline.
