We’re looking for an Accommodation Officer to join us in our Manchester school. Experience working with teams in other locations is a plus, as you’ll work closely with our new branch in Liverpool.

**Position Summary**:
As our Accommodation Officer (Student Experience), you’ll report directly to the school’s Manager of Student Experience Administration, who is based in our Manchester office. You’ll work as part of the administration team, while working closely with other departments, including our global sales team, management and finance. This role requires a mix of sales and marketing experience, and will allow you to be creative and negotiate deals with Student Accommodation, while working closely with our students to solve any problems that they may have with their accommodation.

**Core Competencies**:
Must possess the ability to switch between tasks with ease. Must be extremely organized, detail-orientated, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work well both individually and as part of a team, and possess customer-facing skills.

**Essential Duties And Responsibilities**:

- Allocate students to host families and student residence accommodation and make bookings on behalf of MC Academy.
- Ensure Host family compliance with the terms and conditions of the Host Family agreement.
- Keep accurate records of all accommodation bookings
- Advise relevant colleagues and Management on availability of accommodation in a timely manner to ensure voids are minimised but also to ensure there is sufficient availability.
- Monitor student satisfaction and communicate with providers to ensure an excellent level of service is provided at all times.
- Deal with payments and invoices.
- Build strong relationships and communicate with relevant colleagues on a regular basis to understand the needs of each part of the business in terms of accommodation requirements now and in the future.
- Communicate with colleagues on a regular basis regarding student requirements, paying particular attention to any welfare issues and ensuring that information is passed to the relevant person as a priority.
- Oversee the residence allocation to ensure that voids are minimised and that enough rooms are available throughout the year to maintain the bookings pipeline.
- Place students in residences, homestays, or independent living facilities as per their requirements.
- Oversee the booking of all airport transfers for arriving and departing students using our third-party providers.
- Be available throughout the day for questions from students regarding their residence and homestay accommodation
- Manage problems or complaints efficiently and effectively, managing expectations where necessary.
- Have a customer-orientated approach when dealing with students queries
- Ensuring that there is 24 hour cover on the emergency phone, in the case of an emergency call relating to accommodation and transfers
- Be flexible in the job role to meet business demands

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Prior administration, marketing and sales experience is a plus
- Experience with either admissions or accommodation or finance in an education setting is a plus
- Experience working in a student support capacity is a plus
