**Location**: Buttershaw, Bradford. Expect site visits to water treatment works across Yorkshire region, roughly once a fortnight.

**Work type**: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

The service delivery function is a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

This role provides essential support to ensuring YW maintains water quality “through a consistent, embedded and integrated approach to Drinking Water Safety Planning that demonstrates our understanding and effective management of source-to-tap water quality risks. Reporting to the Drinking Water Safety Plan Manager, they work to deliver team objectives, provide effective information management and assist towards managing regulatory risks.

**Where you fit in**:
As our Drinking Water Safety Plan Co-Ordinator you will
- Provide a clear centre of expertise on the implementation of Drinking Water Safety Planning for the Company.
- Provide technical support to the programme of DWSP risk reviews in the Company.
- Support the management of water quality & regulatory risks via the process of regular risk review meetings.
- Carry out work on the data systems that are in place to record and analyse risks to meet the Company’s regulatory obligations, its operational needs, and provide sufficient data for future plans to be based on sound information.
- Contribute to delivering the company's vision and performance commitment of zero failures in the eyes of our customers and 100% compliance with regulatory standards, by identifying trends in water quality risks both temporally and geographically to predict when and where failure could occur.
- Work as a key member of the DWSP and WQ Compliance team in ensuring effective use of resources, to ensure the successful achievement of team priorities.
- Provide support to information provision to key stakeholders (i.e. the DWI / NAVs), including involvement in the production of DWSP Reg28 returns and Legal Instrument reporting steps to the Regulator.
- Support the collection of information and production of reports for DWI on progress with Legal Instruments / Improvement Programmes.
- Support the WQ risk input into Periodic Review process and subsequent implementation of initiatives by provision of clear risk analysis.
- Work with other teams (e.g. Asset Planning / Operations) to improve any other processes which will drive improvements into the overall DWSP process.
- Act as Technical Secretary at the regular DWSP Working and Progress Groups and DWSP reviews.

**What skills & qualifications you will need**:

- Knowledge and experience of Water Quality, including the Regulations, particularly those relevant to data and customer contact issues.
- Scientific or engineering related degree.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Rigorous attention to detail to ensure ‘right first time’ performance.
- Proficient In the use of IT, particularly for analysis of complex datasets.
- Proven effective organisational skills.
