Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Drinking Water Quality Specialist to join our Service Delivery business unit at Yorkshire Water. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of drinking water for millions of people across the Yorkshire region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on Drinking Water Safety Planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the implementation of Drinking Water Safety Planning initiatives, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve water quality and reduce risks.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including regulators and customers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to Drinking Water Safety Planning.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Water Engineering, or Chemistry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Drinking Water Safety Planning, water quality management, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
