We have an exciting opportunity for a **Resource and Asset Planning Team Leader **to join the **Engineering Reliability** team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. **Could this be you?**

The engineering reliability function is a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

Your role will be to lead a team of Schedulers and deliver an effective and efficient management of the Scheduling planning, coordination, and allocation delivery functions. In addition, you will create personal development plans and training strategies to drive world class performance in scheduling and provide coaching and support in developing relationships across Engineering Reliability

Furthermore, you will ensure scheduling, planning, coordination, and allocation business processes are robust and consistently adhered to throughout the team and play a vital role in leading the team to provide a highly valued service to both internal and external customers.

Finally, you will ensure that the team work closely and effectively with other teams and stakeholder, with the aim of delivering the highest possible standards, creating opportunities to exceed customers’ expectations whilst ensuring that Scheduling, planning coordination and allocation business processes are robust and consistently adhered to thought out the team.

**As our Resource and Asset Planning Team Leader you will**
- Lead the team to deliver excellent performance by setting clear expectations linked to business targets.
- Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work and ensure compliance with YW safety policy.
- Ensure efficient validation in resource optimisation, asset optimisation and customer care through effective jeopardy management, planning and scheduling requirements for the asset and operational plans and procedures to ensure compliance with internal targets and team commitments.
- Create and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and service to ensure that common goals, outcomes, processes, protocols, and procedures are aligned and consistent.
- Oversee operational and support resource planning to ensure that minimum staffing levels are achieved within operational teams.

**What skills & qualifications you will need**:

- Experience of using SAP and Advantex and able to use IT packages to plan and schedule large volumes of work.
- Experience of managing a team to motivate, lead and inspire people to maximise their potential.
- Awareness of standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work to ensure compliance with the YW safety policy.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
- Experience of building and effective working relationship with key stakeholders in other YW teams.
- Experience of supporting and embedding change; ability to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.

**You will also benefit from having**:

- Experience of managing and leading a team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging targets
- Previous experience in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
- Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities process or manufacturing industry sectors.
- Experience in implementation and interpretation of performance reporting
