Vision 21 Cyfle Cymru (V21) have an exciting opportunity for an organised and outgoing project leader to launch and lead our brand new V21 Reception Skills training project at our V21 Sbectrwm Community Enterprise Centre.

V21 is a local charity with facilities across Cardiff, The Vale of Glamorgan and beyond. We support life-changing opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, our trainees, to realise their potential through catering, growing, creating, learning and making initiatives. Many of these projects are social enterprises that provide training for people with learning disabilities and volunteering opportunities for others.

**About the job.**

Our V21 Sbectrwm Centre in Fairwater, Cardiff is a thriving community enterprise centre that is home to V21 projects, office tenants, and spaces for hire, playing host to a range of visitors, local organisations, clubs and societies every week.

Based on the model of our successful V21 Office Skills Project at our Fieldway Head Office site, we are launching V21 Reception Skills at Sbectrwm. To do this we need an autonomous project leader with the management skills and administrative experience to coordinate the centre on a daily basis, and the empathy and expertise to share these skills with our trainees. We put the happiness of our trainees at the heart of everything we do and you will help our trainees, more than ever before, to be at the very heart of everything we do at Sbectrwm - from staffing reception and answering the phone, to booking rooms and arranging buffets.

**Key Tasks**:

- Work with the Trainee Services Manager to actively recruit, train and progress trainees who are able to benefit from the resources and learning opportunities available within the Project.
- Deliver training based on a trainee centred approach.
- Ensure that the full range of personal and learning needs of trainees referred to the Project are fulfilled in accordance with agreed plans for each individual. Adapting courses, materials, equipment and delivery depending on individual’s needs and ability.
- Take responsibility, within parameters set by the Finance Department, for Project Budget Management and stock orders, e.g. stamps, stationary.
- Communication and liaising with key stakeholders i.e. parents, carers, social workers, internal personnel, Sbectrwm tenants etc.
- Take part in the identification, organisation, communication and delivery of fundraising activities.
- Production and update of trainee related documentation such as trainee reviews and Learning Plans
- Trainee welfare and safeguarding-liaising with the Trainee Services Manager
- Actively seek out and provide opportunities for trainee development i.e. within Reception Skills such as work experience, basic skills (literacy, numeracy, money and ICT), and personal, social and independent skills.
