Are you a customer service assistant looking for a new role?

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic individual who enjoys working as part of our team to provide exceptional standards of customer service in a busy and varied environment.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role will involve providing an exceptional welcome to all customers, proactively engaging with customers and supporting the Leisure team with administrative duties and maximise sales of memberships.

Previous customer service experience in a similar environment is desirable. A proactive, enthusiastic personality is essential.

Excellent communication, customer focus and organisational skills are required.

**Key role responsibilities**:

- Provide great customer service whilst working in the customer contact hub and act as the first point of contact for any customer queries.
- Engage with potential customers, delivering tours of facilities and up selling gym memberships and activities.
- Responsible for data capture from each customer interaction to strengthen the Trust’s databases. Ensure data collected is in compliance with GDPR.
- Adhering to a company’s policies and procedures at all times when assisting customers
- Ability to work as part of a team

**Essential experience**
- Minimum of 1 year working in a sales and/or customer service environment

**Skills and abilities**
- Personable and friendly with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to relate to people at different levels
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work under pressure and to problem solve
- Commercial awareness and confidence with financial data
- Excellent numerical and IT skills
- Organised and motivated
- Pro-active, able to identify opportunities to upsell with the confidence to do so in an appropriate manner
- The ability to remain calm and polite when dealing with complaints or challenging situations
- Strong problem-solving skills to determine the best possible solutions for any customer issues
- Some knowledge or an interest in the sports sector desirable but not essential.
