Gp Receptionist/administrator

We are looking for motivated, reliable and enthusiastic Receptionist/administrator to join our busy reception team. This is a part time/ full time position (25 to 35 hours per week). It is essential that applicants are flexible to cover for holidays/absences.
You must have excellent communication and IT skills, good telephone manner, ability to work in a team setting and ability to work under pressure.
Previous primary care experience is desirable.
Hours will be agreed on appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure an efficient front desk service is provided to patients and other visitors attending the practice.
- Answer and make telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner and assist with appointments, visits and general enquiries.
- Deal with queries from patients, clinicians and other health professionals and to signpost calls/visitors appropriately.
- Register new patients and process repeat prescriptions on daily basis.
- General administration duties: filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry, updating paper/electronic records and providing support to clinical team.
- Restock and clear consulting rooms on regular basis.
- To work in accordance with practice policies & protocols.
- Other reception and support duties including chaperoning as and when required.
