We are looking for two highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join our Trading Standards team.

These posts will build upon our established work, protecting consumers and legitimate businesses across Medway.

We are looking for people with strong communication skills who can comfortably work with our partners both internal and external to the council.

To be considered for one of these posts you will need to hold a recognised Trading Standards Qualification. One of the two posts will be restricted to people who hold the necessary certification to act as an inspector of Weights and Measures.

Experience and competence in Animal Health and Agricultural Standards would be a distinct advantage, along with an understanding of the importance of intelligence in a modern service and a track record of working as part of a team.

Medway Council has a career grade for Trading Standards Officers and your starting salary will be dependant of qualifications, experience and competences.

You must hold a full driving licence and access to a vehicle that is insured for business use for which the appropriate allowance will be paid.
