The Company

Join one of UK’s largest companies within the social sector. They have strong plans to grow the business adding 10 sites each year. From a tech perspective this business is undergoing a multimillion pound transformation of their infrastructure and estate. This role is an ongoing project helping my client streamline operations and move into the Cloud.

The Opportunity

Join an established team at the beginning of their Cloud journey, the team of six are missing a Cloud advocate who can take ownership on streamlining the companies operations and head up the transition into the Cloud. Not everything will be going into the Public Cloud, your knowledge and experience will help influence on a workload-by-workload basis the best location from ITPS data centre, MS Azure or SaaS/Supplier Hosting. Working with the Head of Technology & Transformation and Technology Manager to develop short and long-term strategic technology roadmaps.

**Main Activities**
- Manage, motivate, coach and develop team members with an initial focus on extending team capability in cloud computing disciplines
- Plan resource with specific responsibility for co-ordination of the workload and deliverables of the team
- Define, document and embed technology standards
- Proactive management of core, centralised and distributed network technology with a view to providing "always on" connectivity for mission critical services
- Responsible for the analysis of technology domain, component and service performance, providing indication of health and recommending enhancements and opportunities for improvement to ensure they remain operational, optimised and available.

The Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Cloud technologies - Azure is essential.
- Excellent and In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies and server administration.
- Extensive experience of designing, delivering, managing, and supporting innovative technology solutions within compute, storage, network security and domains.
- Predominantly remote role - in the office 1-2 days a week for first month
