Temporary Full Time Administrator

Samantha at Swift Commercial Division Recruitment is recruiting for an Administrator for the local authority in the Normanton area on a temporary ongoing basis.
**Overall purpose of the Post**:
To provide an effective and high-quality business and administration support service to managers and staff, to support the operational services provided by the Children &Young People’s (C&YP) Directorate.
**Knowledge Required: -**
- A range of business administration systems and procedures and an understanding of the work of Local Government.
- Principles of data protection, confidentiality and information security and working in an environment dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Council’s Policies and Procedures relating to the role e.g., Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities.
- Council’s Customer Care Standards.
- IT systems required for the role e.g., Microsoft Office programmes or other equivalent systems.
**Experience Required: -**
- Working as part of a team, plus on own initiative.
- Communicating confidently with staff from various levels, partners and with the public.
- IT systems relating to the role e.g., Microsoft Office.
- Relevant experience of working within a similar function.
- Working within Local Government/ confidential environment.
- Delivering a service to meet the needs of internal and external customers and meet tight deadlines.
- Minute Taking
**Skills Required: -**
- Excellent IT skills including word processing.
- Ability to bulk input data as required and type documents with speed and precision.
Pay Rate: £11.18 per hour
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm, 37 hours per week
